Two Story Villa, with Excellent Ocean View, Panama.

As you drive up to see this two story villa, you get the distinct impression of a home that feels like it should be on the hills of some Mediterranean resort.

home from the back

The view from the road belies the view you enjoy after just a few steps inside the 2 car garage. Descending the broad tiled steps to the lower apartment, you glance to your right and see the land slope away from the house. You view is uninterrupted as you gaze over fields and hedgerows and in the distance you see the clear outline of the Chiriqui coastline and the mighty Pacific Ocean.

The lower balcony extends the entire width of the building; from here you have a vista that is 180⁰ wide- from early morning sunrise to spectacular golden sunsets.

Climbing the steps back up to the main floor you enter the main living room. Your eyes are immediately drawn to the high cathedral ceiling, which gives tropical homes a continuous cool environment. In the far right corner is the stone fireplace. Why would you need a fireplace in the tropics? The truth is you do not - but, during the rainy season a fireplace is a wonderful way to provide comfort that is more visual than thermal.

To your left is the spacious granite counter top of the kitchen. This kitchen comes with a large refrigerator, a four burner stove and a huge oven -I think a thanks giving turkey would fit in this oven, very nicely. To your left is the pantry, amazingly, the owners have installed a small air conditioning unit here, for the sole purpose of preserving those all important spices and foodstuffs.

Walk across the room and through the sliding French doors and you are on the balcony. There is plenty of room for a group of friends to sit here and share your magnificent view. This writer, told the owners, that this was absolutely the most remarkable view he had seen from any house in Panama.

Daytime, on this balcony, should take your breath away. Nighttimes, with the flickering lights of Panama’s third largest city, David, twinkling away below you, should leave you with a sense of awe and wonderment. Clearly, the view from the villas’ two balconies are this home’s greatest features.

To the left of the fireplace is the entrance to the 2 bedrooms. To your right is the spacious master bedroom. On entering the master bedroom to your left is a walk-in closet. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. Across the hallway, is the second or guest bedroom also with its own bathroom and closet space.

The home has quality tiling throughout. The easiest way to imagine the downstairs accommodation is to think of it as similar to the upstairs. The downstairs is completely self contained, and could be easily rented out as an immediate incoming producing asset.

The villa is located at 2,800 feet above sea level. This takes you away from the oppressive heat and humidity of the coastal plain, but lower than the altitude of the mountains, where sometimes the nights can be chilly. At this altitude you will not need air-conditioning or heating. The days are warm so ceiling fans keep things comfortable, the nights are blissfully cool and sleeping is a peaceful pleasure.

The garden is home to a wide variety of fruits and flowers, including banana, lemon, pineapple, and avocado. If you were a survivalist, you could literally live of this land.

The villa is 4 years old, solidly constructed and has a clear title. You have two close neighbours, a European and a Canadian.
